Dr Gwilym Morris will provide visiting cardiac electrophysiology consultations in Nelson Bay for patients from Port Stephens, starting in late November 2026. Appointments focus on the assessment and management of atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders, with local consultations and follow-up by appointment.

Heart rhythm care and procedures

Consultations cover atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, ventricular arrhythmias and slow heart rhythms. Treatment planning may include catheter ablation, pulsed field ablation for atrial fibrillation and selected other complex heart rhythm disorders, or cardiac devices.

Ablation and cardiac device procedures are performed in Newcastle. Visiting consultations and follow-up in Nelson Bay allow patients to discuss their care closer to home.

A referral from a GP or specialist is required; self-referrals are not accepted. Patients are welcome to call to enquire about appointments.
